Below we’ll outline each step in detail, and provide some additional tips for your new MYC theme.

Of course, if you have any questions during the process, feel free to reach out to our support team.

Ok, let’s get started.

First things first: make sure to perform a system backup before proceeding.

How to set up your new MYC theme for vTiger CRM

Step 1: Access the ModuleManager tool

There are two ways to access the ModuleManager tool within your CRM. You can either open it through the Add/Manage Modules link at the bottom of your vTiger modules menu or by visiting the configuration page from the menu on the left-hand side of your screen.

Step 2: Import your theme’s .zip file

Once you’ve accessed the ModuleManager tool, you should see an ‘Import from .zip’ button on the bottom of your screen. Upload the .zip file for your new theme and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the import process.

Step 2: Import your theme’s .zip file

Step 3: Activate MYCThemeSwitcher

When your file import is complete, you should see a new module in your ModuleManager called ‘MYCThemeSwitcher.’ Make sure there’s a checkmark to the left of the module name.

You'll find a new link to ‘MYCThemeSwitcher’ on your modules menu, under the ‘Tools’ submenu. Click on this link to go to your new layout switcher. Here you should see 2 layouts: the default vTiger layout and your newly installed MYC Layout. Before you can apply it, you’ll need to activate your license key.

Step 3: Activate MYCThemeSwitcher

Step 4: Enter your license key

In order to activate your new theme, you’ll need to enter its license key. First, go to your Customer Area and copy the license key associated with your new theme. Paste this key into the ‘License Key’ box at the bottom of the MYCThemeSwitcher main page and click ‘Activate.

Step 4: Enter your license key

Step 5: Apply your new layout

Upon entering the correct license key, the page should automatically reload. At this point, you’ll a link to ‘Apply’ your theme at the bottom of your MYC Theme box. Click ‘Apply’ and you should immediately see your new theme’s layout.

That’s it--you’ve successfully installed a new theme for your vTiger system. Now you’ll be able to make the necessary customizations and use the additional features stated under your theme’s description. Remember, your new theme is fully responsive, so you can use it on any mobile device.

After you’ve installed your new theme, you can reference the tips below when you need to perform tests, switch themes, or deactivate your license.

Step 3: Activate MYCThemeSwitcher

Additional tips for your new MYC theme:

If you see a layout problem: Be sure to check that the content in the file paths below has been replaced with the encrypted content. When you open the files, you should see an unreadable string.

- includes/runtime/Viewer.php
- includes/runtime/Javascript.php
- includes/runtime/Theme.php

If you visit the file paths and see any official vTiger files , you should replace the content with the corresponding encrypted files you can find here:

“YOURCRMROOT/modules/MYCThemeSwitcher/theme_src/myc_patch/FILENAMETOREPLACE.php.

Switch skins: You can switch skins by using the ‘skin switcher’ on the right sidebar of your system or in your user preferences. Your preference will apply to all layouts within your system.

Deactivating your license: Visit the ‘MYCThemeSwitcher’ and click the red ‘Deactivate’ button at the top.

Testing instances: If you’d like to test additional instances, you’re able to create them by activating your license key on additional subdomains.

For example: yourdomain.com/crmtest1

Install an additional MYC theme: Follow the exact same steps outlined above.

On step 2, the module manager will notify you that the ‘MYCThemeSwitcher’ already exists.

Simply click ‘Update’ and proceed with the setup.
